NFTevening was created in April 2020 and had amazing growth since.
I remember discovering NFTs via the Bankless newsletter and seeing Jpegs being traded for 5 ETH at the time (These were generative arts from Art Blocks).
I couldn’t understand why they were trading for so much money! That’s how I decided to start researching online about NFTs.
Unfortunately, there were barely any resources. In fact, the only option at the time was to follow NFT Twitter and join several discords.
My learning curve was really slow and I felt overwhelmed with noise, not knowing exactly where to go and who to trust: That’s how we had the initial idea of creating our own website where anyone could learn and access easy information to start their NFT Journey.
My co-founder Jimmy and I have been building websites for the last 5 years (with a very different business model, using paid traffic, rather than organic SEO).
We created the website, hired a few people, and 4 months later we were the number 1 NFT news website, with barely any budget.
The quick success was a combination of good timing, hiring good people (you know who you are), and building great content processes.
We are now a team of 30 NFT-enthusiasts, working remotely towards the growth and success of NFTevening 🙂
